Luke 10:38-42. Pls read it. Martha received Jesus into her house to be a blessing to Jesus. Matthew 10:41 says He that receiveth a Prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward;.... Martha was there4 in line with d will of God 4 receiving Jesus in order to bless Him. Martha had a sister, called Mary but who sat at Jesus feet to receive HIS WORD. Martha was busy with d service (to please d Master) she did'nt have d time 4 d word of d Lord. Her load of service was so much dat she, in desperation, requested d as*istance of Jesus to send Mary to help her: dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.. We sometimes find ourselves in Martha's shoes, thinking no one else cares to serve or help in d service of d Lord. Serving d Lord is one of... *

d most integral part of our christian race. Serving attracts reward now & in d life to come. But, d Lord placed attending to his word more important dan serving. In ver 41 & 42: And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But One thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Jesus called Martha twice in verse 41 begging 4 her attention & employing her to see d importance of what he had to say on d issue of her request. Jesus said to her One thing is needful. This One thing is d base of every other thing. Like he called Martha twice, Jesus is calling us today that One thing is needful: its d base, d resting place, d foundation of our life: d word of God. its d base 4 profitable service. 1 thing is indeed needful *

So mightily grew the word of God, and prevailed. Acts 19:20. When d word of God grows in ur life it will prevail over all cir tances. D word of God on healing prevails over sickneses; d word of God on financial prosperity prevails over poverty; d word of God on holiness/sanctification prevails over sin; d word of God on direction and precept prevails over confusion... U know d rest. Get d word as much as u can and when u find it, dont stop saying it. *

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing d word of God. Romans 10:17. D more u say it, d more u hear it and d more faith is produced. *
